I suspect not but just curious, thanks.

Most prefer it. Rolling edges only. If you have a regular game, it will take care of itself in a few months.

In my opinion, CPCs are chips that benefit from oil THE MOST. The edges can dry out and become very pale in color. Keep those babies oiled!!!

Here are my Atlantic Club CPC chips. The left three barrels are oiled (rolling edge only), the right two are un-oiled...

IMHO, oil is good on all exposed chip faces, but the rolling edges absolutely beg for it.

(The faces are shaped by the dies when pressed, but the edges have been machined smooth after the final pressing, so they are dusty and raw until oiled.)

Just lightly on the edges with a soft cloth and some mineral oil you get at the drug store. NO BABY OIL. Your hands will transfer it to the face. That should be plenty.

No dabbers, no soaking...

I see you oiled the table...

Lol, I was thinking the same. I do belive oiling is good, but that post is not the best example, since the pictures are so different in contrast all over.

Plus one on the above. Glad to see others think like I do.

Apparently the 3rd photo didn't show in the post, but you can click on the attachments to see a "before" pic with the same lighting contrast. I tried to delete/replace the 1st photo, but failed.
