Hey everyone, Ive seen that many people like 10 gram ceramic chips, but I have a sample set, and they feel very slippery to shuffle. Is this what all 10g ceramic sets feel like?

The blanks themselves come in all types of quality.

What ceramics do you have?

EDIT: Yes, I like ceramics. Not slippery (old and undesirable) ceramics, or heat warped (horribly made) ceramics.

Hi and welcome to PCF!
Not all traditional ceramic chips are created equal, it completely depends on the manufacturer of the blank chip they are printed on.
My BR Pro Tiki Kings were not slippery at all, but at the same time were not so textured that they stuck together.
The two venders BR Pro and Sun Fly, both use very good blanks, not slippery and shuffle well.
I would suggest collecting a few sample sets from different venders so you can feel the difference. I did not like ceramics when the only ones I held in my hand were the Nile Club chips, once I got samples of some higher quality chips it completely changed my mind on ceramics.
Good luck and here are some Tiki Kings I sold a while back.

+1 for BR Pro Poker

Designing a set for them to make right now. Already have 1000+

The ones I have are from thepokerstore. I won them doing some late night flips.

This is a really cool set! Was it from an actual casino? Know any history about it?

Is it tough to estimate the amount in a pot with a quick glance?

i havent been able to put them in play yet, but htey look like they might be messy in pots, but no dirty stacks

From what I know, they were made from Chipco Blanks and they are a tribute set to the Caribe Hiltons chips. The real casino set are also ceramics, but they say "puerto rico" on the chips. These are just tributes, fakes, replicas

Depending on your taste and style, I kinda like these lucky dragon chips as well.

They are not as flashy or whimsical as the Tiki Kings but there is something about the simplicity I like.

I think you’re getting quality answers but I have a different approach to the same place.

Asking about or inquiring about the weight of the chip is the wrong approach. If you’re looking for a heavier chip and seek out leaded chips that’s valid, but by and large most people are looking for value. Plastics and ceramics are great for that, but mileage may vary, get samples!

Official casino weight is a scam.

Happy chipping

Yeah these are cool too. I really like that light blue chip. Do you know where I can get a sample of these?
