Do it!Can I justify $9 a chip to then use it as a nickel in my hot stamp set???
Maybe???
Beautiful chips.
This is a rhetorical question. If it were $15/chip it still would be a rhetorical question .Can I justify $9 a chip to then use it as a nickel in my hot stamp set???

Do it. I want to mill them hahaCan I justify $9 a chip to then use it as a nickel in my hot stamp set???

Milling these would be grounds for a permanent insta-BAN. Just suggesting it should be a one week ban...Do it. I want to mill them haha
Each time I see them a part of me that wants to conserve the original chip dies.
They still look great though…..Milling these would be grounds for a permanent insta-BAN. Just suggesting it should be a one week ban...
I thought I was the only person with a $9 chip on earthCan I justify $9 a chip to then use it as a nickel in my hot stamp set???

THIS IS WHY WE NEED A PUKE EMOJI AROUND HERE!They still look great though…..

Nah they are effectively useless as is, a Mill would get them in play, and fulfill their destiny.Milling these would be grounds for a permanent insta-BAN. Just suggesting it should be a one week ban...
You must be kidding lolI thought I was the only person with a $9 chip on earth
Agreed! So pukey that everyone just has these chips sitting with no way to use them!THIS IS WHY WE NEED A PUKE EMOJI AROUND HERE!
I’m not a fan of collecting boxes of chips that just sit on shelves. But when we’re talking about leaded Paulsons from Vegas casinos, that makes more sense to me than drilling their faces off.Agreed! So pukey that everyone just has these chips sitting with no way to use them!
Get those chips in play people!
I mean, luckily there’s like 10 more racks of these in pristine condition that can be handed down for generations.I’m not a fan of collecting boxes of chips that just sit on shelves. Perhaps a better idea...
Purple hot stamped fracs, White hot stamped $1s, and these Yellow and Green Dunes. Mardi Gras game on!
Normally, I don't need any reasons to add more chips (part of all of our problems here of course) - but gearing up for a major apartment move means I need to downsize by about 20 more racks (I sold ~25 in the last month!). Once the move is complete and my new table/setup arrives... I'm back to being a full time buyer! If you move them, does it mean you can then buy a rack of something else (“The @springbox Rule”), and if so, what would you add???
Where is the actual thread on this?Well, it appears congrats are in order!
- New apartment
- New poker table
- New setup
- And then, more new chips!
Awesome! Really glad to hear it.
I'm a big fan of our U.S. Constitution, and when I first read The @springbox Rule, it seemed QUITE unconstitutional to me. I mean, following a rule like that, how exactly is someone supposed to amass large quantities of chips they'll never use??!
I think the trick would be to amass a bunch of sets before instituting such a restriction. It's a bit different if you only start following it once you have a dozen sets instead of just three.Well, it appears congrats are in order!
