I've always wanted to put these in a set but I'm not doing any solid hot stamp sets. Could the second half-moon qualify as an edge spot for edge spot progression purposes .

Very special chips from 1989 or 1990. I love just about anything from the Dunes. If I had a legitimate use for these, this would be an insta-buy for me. GLWS!

Agreed! So pukey that everyone just has these chips sitting with no way to use them!

Get those chips in play people!
I’m not a fan of collecting boxes of chips that just sit on shelves. But when we’re talking about leaded Paulsons from Vegas casinos, that makes more sense to me than drilling their faces off.

I mean, luckily there’s like 10 more racks of these in pristine condition that can be handed down for generations.

I would agree with you if one person in all of PCF had ever used these successfully.

(I won’t share it’s even worse than you think, these weren’t murdered for a set, they were murdered for meetup tokens)

Price reduction! These will go to eBay in a few days (don’t think I’ve ever sold a single chip on eBay!) if they don’t sell, gotta move them.

If you move them, does it mean you can then buy a rack of something else (“The @springbox Rule”), and if so, what would you add???
Normally, I don't need any reasons to add more chips (part of all of our problems here of course) - but gearing up for a major apartment move means I need to downsize by about 20 more racks (I sold ~25 in the last month!). Once the move is complete and my new table/setup arrives... I'm back to being a full time buyer!

Well, it appears congrats are in order!
  • New apartment
  • New poker table
  • New setup
  • And then, more new chips!

Awesome! Really glad to hear it.

I'm a big fan of our U.S. Constitution, and when I first read The @springbox Rule, it seemed QUITE unconstitutional to me. I mean, following a rule like that, how exactly is someone supposed to amass large quantities of chips they'll never use??!

Where is the actual thread on this?

I’ll end up buying before they go to eBay.

Not sure what the timeline is, or where I’m getting the random money, but I’ll make it happen or at least get an offer in.

If people prefer to not see these murdered and eventually placed into an amazing set as a $5 hotstamp, this is your official warning.

I think the trick would be to amass a bunch of sets before instituting such a restriction. It's a bit different if you only start following it once you have a dozen sets instead of just three.
