I apologize in advance for what is an admittedly embarrassing question, but could some of you educate me on what the numbers mean that I often see people use when referring to certain poker chips? Sometimes I'll see a poster say something like "Paulson 312", etc. I assume the numbers are a reference to the edge spots somehow, but I am not sure. I looked over the Paulson resources here, and Googled it, but I did not find what I was looking for.

Thanks!
JT

Here you go...

I need to update the new edge spot charts in the Resource section with the names.

312 would be 3 x 1/2" spots.

In general, the first number is the quantity of spots, and the second number is the size of spots: 312 = three 1/2" spots, or 418 = four 1/8" spots. From there is gets a little more complicated, with D double spots, etc.

The "P" numbers (P18, P33, etc.) refer to Paulson's edge spot chart (posted above by Tommy). Those GPI identifiers also have numerical equivalents typically used elsewhere (and also referenced on Tommy's posted version). Example: P5 = 312

We must start a search for the infamous "Six Pie Flower"!!! Even a pic would be nice so we know it actually exists!!!
