The casino burned down in June of 1960. That’s why there are so many burned, melted destroyed chips. Collectors still pay good money for them.

Agreed. I got a few of the melted stacks and a scorched lgcrown $100 chip relatively cheap.
Fun fact: The El Rancho Vegas is credited as being the first hotel resort on the strip.
