Not easily. A Gear label over an existing label is pretty well stuck.... now a label over a non milled hot stamp, those are a little easier to take off (but still not easy enough for them to fall off at a game. Someone has to intentionally pick at it)

Wow.. these are still around? Where are all the Even Stevens' chip owners that host 1/2 games, that need more workhorse $5 chips? Just leave the labels on to have a 'commemorative' or alternative $5. I had purchased a small set of Even Stevens back at the original sale, but had since traded them away. IIRC, the limits on the % of $5 chips in the original sale meant someone had to buy more $1s than $5s, which wasn't suited for a 1/2 set, and I seem to recall that the $5s had been in higher demand right after the initial sale because of it.

Yes - it was meant to be light-hearted, but informative as well. There are some new folks here who aren't familiar with the chip relabeling process, or that it can even be done at all.

Sorry to thread jack, but the labels are kind of killing the value.

If you remove the relabels, you'd probably get close to your asking price. Yea - it's a pain in the butt to take the labels off almost 200 chips, but it will pay off. I assure you. (y) :thumbsup:
