Facebook account not available (3 Viewers)

Just an FYI for everyone that we are having a problem with Facebook. My personal Facebook account, which is linked to my business account, has been compromised and my account has been suspended so I can not access Facebook at the moment. So I can't reply to any messages.

This morning I tried logging in to find a message advising me that the linked Instagram account is in violation of some terms, so my FB account was suspended accordingly. The problem is that the IG account that it is referring to, is not mine. It seems that somehow, someone was able to link a spoof IG account to my FB account and it has affected my personal page. My business FB page is still viewable, but I cannot access any of it.

I searched online for a solution, but this appears to be a common problem that has affected a lot of people, and FB support can't be bothered to help anyone fix the problem. The only form of a fix I've found so far is to upgrade my IG account to a Meta Verified (paid) account, at which point I can then get some actual support from a real person rather than 100 pages of FAQ. So I've applied for Meta Verified and have been put on a wait list. Until then, I can't reply to anything or update anything on my business page.

Quick reminder that with Social Media, you are not the customer, you are the product. This happened to my cousin's wife and she ended up creating a whole new account.

If it was just my personal account, I would do exactly that. But it's linked to my business account which has history so I want to get it back if possible.

TBH I haven't posted anything to my personal FB account in years, the only reason I still have FB is for FB Messenger, and for my business accounts.

My account has been restored so I'm able to reply to messages that go to my business page once again.

I had to find a friend of a friend who works for meta and made an internal ticket to resolve the issue.
