I bought a STT set of fair condition club Cal-Nevas from @allforcharity’s big sale a few months back. I’ve decided I’m going’s to expand my tourney set to at least 2 tables.

Looking for additional of the following colors (these are minimum quantities, but I could be interested in more.

Day green x 40
Showboat gray x 40
Plum x 40
Yellow x 80
Orange x 12

Maybe a few blues or something else for a 25k?

Let me know what you have—thanks!
Andrew

I have some of the colors of the Cal Neva chips you're looking for in the same fair condition as the chips from allforcharity-- day green, showboat gray, and yellow, and even more yellow chips than pictured below. (And @arch3r, don't worry, I still have the rack of yellow in better condition reserved for you.)

I don't have any Orange or Plum, but I have hundreds of Blaze Orange (most of which I'd like to keep), and Chocolate, and about 50 Purple chips (not in photo below). In the pic below, there are 16 Mauve (which is a maroon/brown) and 8 Sky Blue Boomtown THC roulette chips -- either which might work as a T25k for your set.

Just FYI, I'm basically building a Mapes tribute cash set (Yellow 1s, Blaze Orange 5s, Day Green 25s, and Showboat Gray 100s, and maybe the Chocolate as a frac). So I'm looking to keep at least 40 Showboat Gray chips, and at least 160 Day Green chips. The rest I'd sell or trade, which leaves around 115 day green, 91 showboat gray chips, and around 120-200 yellow chips, and several hundred Chocolate.

For my Showboat Gray chips, 26 of them are a slightly darker gray (all of my darker ones are from Table E or F) than the rest of the them. If you would happen to have 14 or more of the slightly darker gray chips, I would be willing to trade you for those.

I’ll go through my grays and see if I have any that are darker sometime in the next couple days. I’m definitely interested!

@allforcharity, is it possible that the difference in grays will even out with oiling, or is @arch3r's more extreme than that? I have about 10, maybe a few more that look darker, but I'm wondering if oiling them will take care of that.

Its interesting, on my Showboat Gray chips, the difference was a little more obvious after a light coat of oil on the edges. Some other colors may be the opposite -- where oiling would helps make the color more uniform (I recall this in my Day Green Terrible's $25s.). Either way, it's only a slight color variation in these grays, and I don't mind having a mix, or keeping 40 of the lighter grays, if you didn't have 14 of the darker grays.

It is possible that they would even out. Some of the chips can look a little bleached, or "dry", because of the ultrasonic treatment. Oiling does tend to even it out.

However, the many thousands of chips that were bought by me were also stored in less than ideal conditions, likely for a decade or two. It is also possible that some colour change could have been caused by environment over time, with some chips having more surface exposure than others.

When I was cleaning and sorting chips, I did notice some slight colour variation. Not extreme, but noticeable. I tried to keep lighter hues together, and similar with darker hues, but it was only as good as my naked eye could tell. Some of the variation could also be from different batches of chips ordered at different times.
