In my I'm back thread, I had mentioned that my Protege set was stolen in 2018. They were from the original pre-order in 2006. My wife corrected me as they were actually taken in 2016.

Whole story. a friend borrowed them for a game at his house on a Saturday. On Wednesday he was raided by the FBI and disappeared. I found out he was living in Houston a couple of years ago. I ran into an old mutual acquaintance just over a week ago. He told me that the chips were sold to a guy he knew living in El Paso, and got me in touch with the guy. He agreed to sell them back to me for what he paid for them. Just got them delivered today. Unfortunately I am sitting in the emergency room with my wife and have not had a chance to che k them out. But they are back.

I could not tell you. The Friday he came over to pick up the chips is the last time I ever spoke to the guy. Never saw him after that. I found out about the raid when a US Marshal I work with told me about it, as he knew that I knew the guy.

Other than that case being broken, and a chip in the dealer button everything looks great. A few minor nicks and chips in a few of them, but overall good shape.
