Own a piece of Vegas History, and a possible GOAT $5 chip. These mint condition leaded THC chips were picked up from the Bob Stupak estate sale many years ago from his personal collection. I have never been able to find a use for these, and they are too nice to sit on forever.

I have never altered a chip, and probably never will. I am sure it can be done, but I think adding a custom chip label would be easier, then a new hot stamp.

Actually on these, labels are kinda harder. The one sides foil is larger than 7/8 so you need to manually remove foil either way.
 
Not to derail this thread but this is a fascinating microcosm of “important bit of history” and relabeling/milling/etc.

It's not clear to me what the purpose/history of these chips were, other than some kind of promo handout chip that never really made it to the wild. Your point is valid as to murdering a chip like this, but look at the pics as a $5 chip posted so far. They can make a custom set standout with those colors.

lol mine too. Would be more meaningful if it was something like “these will be shredded on Dec 15th” or even “these will be put into the new foundation I’m pouring next week if not sold by then”

But “if these don’t sell, I’m keeping them” seems redundant.

But seriously these are great chips. If everyone wasn’t broke as hell and Christmas coming these would be sold multiple times over already.

Just spitballing here, maybe there should be a rule that if you threaten the vault you must include a photo of said vault alongside said threat?

I keep looking at these knowing they’re heavy and wondering whether I need a secondary $5 chip for my spotted Cali Flamingo set (and a secondary black $100) to have a Flamingo set that can be either a Cali or Vegas set.

I get that it comes off as a "threat", but I honestly don't like keeping sales threads up forever. It requires an ongoing commitment to follow up on comments, offers... in a reasonable amount of time.

There is a decent sales history on these. I feel like they are priced about right and should continue going up in value as the supply of mint leaded THC chips with historical significance drops every year. Would love to clear out some room and get these out in circulation, but if the times not right now, there will be righter time in the future.
 
I like the chips and I don't want to come off as a crapper so I'll just leave it at they're too expensive for me. Personally (if that counts for anything).
