So I sit down after work and dinner to play some 25NL Zone on Ignition. I'm planning to play for about an hour (230 hands or so) and this is the first session of the New Year. Lately I've been playing more on ACR, and playing both 10NL Blitz and 10NL and 25NL six max. So here we go back into the fray!
Folds to SB who RFI to 3BB. Hero looks down at AQs and 3! to 3x. V calls.
Ooh I am liking this flop! Lately Snowie has been betting 3/4 to pot with draws when IP so although I would normally only bet 1/2 pot here I decide to size up.
V X and Hero bets 2/3 pot and V calls.
*BINK* V X and Hero decides to down bet because this usually looks week. I worry that 2/3 will get a fold and I want to keep V's calling range wide but I cannot X here (although I considered X as V is OOP and that sets him up to blast river). I size to under 1/2 pot to continue to build the pot, keep V's calling range wide and project weakness.
It works! V jams! Only really worrying about a straight flush here - if he has it, he has it but those are 2 combos and everything else is in bad shape.
Hero calls and the runout is good.
V should never be jamming turn here IMHO with both the straight and the flush getting there but perhaps it was my down bet that induced ... hehehe
