I will be hosting my first home poker tournament in 2 days. I just received my Monte Carlo chips and am trying to find the best breakdown for chip distribution and blind structure.

I’m expecting 10-15 players and I have the following chip:

200 - 1’s
200 - 5’s
200 - 25’s
100 - 50’s
100 - 100’s
100 - 500’s
100 - 1,000’s

Any help appreciated. First time post. Thank you all in advance!

I’d say 3-4 hours. Thinking unlimited rebuys for first hour with an add on option at that time as well.

Are you expecting lots of rebuys and top ups, then? I would keep the starting stack at 100BB, then. Perhaps T200 stacks starting at 1/2 blinds if you have 15 players, or T1000 stacks starting at 5/10 if you only have 10. Rebuys/top ups with big chips.

I sent this one in another thread, added explanations. Surrender stack and only one available rebuy/surrender per person will work better because of the time constraint. If you really want unlimited rebuys and add-ons, shorten the blind levels to 12 minutes.

Base T1, T400 Stack (10/8/6/2)
For each player:
10x 1s
8x 5s
6x 25s
2x 100s (50s are unusual and unhelpful)

Rebuy/Add-On Stack (0/0/8/2)
For any rebuys:
8x 25s
2x 100s

15 Minute Blind Levels

2/4
3/6
4/8
6/12
8/16

Break
Color Up T1s with T100s
End Rebuys
Optional Surrender for new stack

10/20
15/30
20/40
30/60
40/80

Break
Color Up T5s with T100s

50/100
75/150
100/200
150/300
200/400 (Estimated EOT with rebuys)
300/600
400/800
