Any info on where to find would be appreciated.

Not that it helps, but just an fyi... from what I understand, these aren't actually TRK boxes.
They were ordered by Mr. Fitzgerald and used for storage and transportation in the Tahoe and Reno casinos.

Right! From Mikko at Spinettis
"
The boxes actually did not come from a chip manufacturer. They were ordered by Lincoln Fitzgeralds for his casinos Nevada Club and Lodge in Reno and Lake Tahoe. Back in those days, the casino in Tahoe would close for winter and they would use these boxes to store and transport the chips to Reno for the winter. So I'm sure between transporting and storage the TR king boxes did not last and he had to order these heavy duty boxes. Unfortunately, I do not know who made them though.

Sincerely, Mikko"

By the way, I have one blue box, but I'm kind of fond of it. Have any cash chips from the Grand Casino Gulfport that might pry that box out of my grip?

Thanks for the info.

I'm pretty sure I do not have any Grand Casino Gulfports... but I will check at home.

I do have $$, and you would sleep well knowing Mr Fitzgerald's box is among old friends(y)

I'm going to start calling these "Fitzgerald boxes"

I have one of the green-topped boxes from the Nevada Lodge.

The bottom is black, the tray is wooden, and the outside is pretty well marked up.

Will post a shot tonight from home.

It looks like I had the colors reversed and the outside is not as horribad as I remember, though there is definitely some tape gunk going on.

It’s yours for the cost of shipping if you want it, XB. Toss me a PM if interested.

Ah... Not all TRK from Spinittis come in these boxes. Unfortunately.

Seems like the Nevada Lodge and Fitzgeralds. But not Money Tree, New China Club, Pic Hobson....

Alright. How do you think I should ship it? Will it be fine in a padded mailer? I’d hate to have to stick it in a small flat rate box, but I’d hate for it to get squashed if it’s an empty box in a padded mailer.

I sent mine in a small box and sent it first class parcel. It was under 11 ounces so not too expensive

Sounds right, the Fitz boxes I have came with my NLs. My Fitzgeralds on the other hand, just arrived in regular old TRK boxes.

Never saw the ones with the wood tray in them.. nice

They seem pretty tough. I think that wrapping them in brown paper would probably suffice, as they don't possess enough intrinsic weight to be damaged when they get dropped/tossed around.

Adding bubble wrap or a box would add even further insurance.

I like to err on the side of too much padding and tape, so I put a little bit of bubble wrap inside the box, then loosely rubber-banded a paper sack around it and wrapped the whole thing in bubble wrap until it looked like a football.
