We bought a cheapo rug off of Wayfair before the poker table and chairs (with hard plastic wheels) came in. The rug needs to go regardless because it's pretty thick (not great for the wheels), but the bigger issue is that it won't stop shedding. The basement is filled with rug fuzz, which I thought it would be a temporary issue, but it's been a year with no end in sight.
The question is, what do I do without a rug? I'm worried about the plastic wheels scratching the tile over time, so it looks like my choices are:

The question is, what do I do without a rug? I'm worried about the plastic wheels scratching the tile over time, so it looks like my choices are:
- no rug; upgrade the wheels to rollerblade type wheels. Easier to move the chairs and less (maybe no) wear and tear on the tile. this is probably the most expensive option as well
- get a new flat/no pile rug and keep the wheels
- buy one of those plastic desk mats, but not sure if they come large enough. Either place it directly on top of the tile, or on top of a thin rug
