Anyone else love dress shoes? One of these days I need to get some bespoke shoes. Until then....

I think they generally look nice, but I hate them. My feet tend to slip right out of them, and those that are tight enough to hold my heel in place are too small for my foot in general :(

Plus I find them uncomfortable as all get out.

Not a lot of love for dress shoes so far in this post lol.
Me? I hate em, luckily I only have to wear them when someone dies.

Got a pair of Allen Edmond Higgins Mills. Want a pair of Alden 403 Indy's.

I’m wearing Birkenstocks whenever it is dry and warm enough, so dress shoes aren’t really my specialty.

I have a few pair, but only a couple nice ones. Some Ferragamo loafers are among the most comfortable shoes I own.

Holy smokes, things just got serious! Love the shoes, they look amazing! You must get compliments all the time.
Thanks. Two words: factory store. My wife is British and I’ve made it up to Northampton for their factory sales. Very good deals to be had.

lol, I wish. Am further north and inland than I've ever been, which is anathema to slip-ons.

I've probably worn through 15-20 pair of the taupe suede Arizona in the last 25 years, though my pace has slowed lately. I find the footbed gets gross too quickly to have the soles redone when they are used as go-everywhere shoes in a warm environment.

Those Edward Greens you and gopher posted look really nice.

Not really a dress shoe kind of man. Boots however, especially brown boots, are kind of my thing.

Hmmm sorry guys but I’m yet to see a dress shoe in this thread. Several nice pairs of casual brogues, but no dress shoes.

Oxfords not brogues gentleman. Words to live by.

When we retired to Florida, all my dress/work shoes went to GoodWill. Good riddance!

Nowadays, it's strictly Adidas tennis shoes and Crocs (a.k.a., especially the orange ones: "Clown Shoes").

I did hang onto two pair of Kenneth Coles for those maybe twice-a-year emergencies when I'm coerced by a hoity-toity restaurant into wearing long pants.

Got these, good 15yrs ago to wear to a mates funeral, great comfy to wear once you get them on

Friend of mine at the event mentioned the movie Brokeback Mountain when he spied them
haven't worn them since

Check out Oak Street Bootmakers out of Chicago. Good stuff. I've got a couple of pairs from them that I love.

I rarely wear dress shoes... maybe twice a month, if that.

When at work, I typically wear only:

Retro Jordan IIIs
Retro Jordan IVs
Retro Jordan Vs
Nike Dunks [preferably Lows]

Have about 25 pairs, so I am usually good for a month at work without repeating!
