Agreed, I despise texting/calls at the table... but you gotta admit it would be pretty cool to use if you wanted to stream your perspective at a home game.
I was actually thinking about it for recording my hands. Only because at my home game the other night, I was too wasted to really recognize all of the variables in the game (blinds, chip stacks, my stack, pot size). I somehow came away the winner in the cash game and nearly squeaked out a win in the tourney. Fundamentals baby!

But really I was kind of bummed because I had no way of reviewing my hands afterward.

Have you tried a gopro on time lapse?

You could put it between your cards & the rail.

I feel bad for the poor dealers having to repeat "action is on you...".

It's a sad sign of the times when someone is unable to go more than five minutes without a phone in their face. I was seeing this pre-COVID when I'd visit my favorite watering hole and most folks at the bar were nose-deep in their phones. Why even go out if that's all you are going to do??

I saw that today as well and was going to post it. Wondering how well it hugs all tables underneath the cloth side rail. Thinking it might leave an impression on the rail as well.

Yeah, it could definitely be beneficial to analyze hands. Plus a lot of phones have dual recording (records from both front and back cameras), so you can see your cards and see your reactions to see if you are telegraphing your hand in any way.

Clever gadget. I wouldn’t need it but clever nonetheless.

Played at the casino for a week recently. All grinders. Stiff games. Very few recs. It was tough and not as enjoyable. Also didn’t help I lost 2/3 sessions.

Tourney had a shot clock, that was extremely enjoyable.

But everyone was on their phones, especially the cash games! Won’t be surprised to see this cup holder frequently pop up in the casinos soon enough.

I do not allow phones to be out in the room at my games.

1. Calls are made/taken outside.....
2. If the phone rings outside you go.....
***blinds are taken if the game is running...
3. No unannounced pictures....
These rules are Absolute!

I don't want to hear about your real estate deal, your wife's complaint about your XYZ. Neither do I want to sit with a group of zombies with android or iOS addictions. Poker is break time to be real and have fun in the moment.

This has been a rule that I remember being simply unspoken and known when I started playing poker back in my late teens in 96'97 or so. The game is so much better when everyone is "Actually In" the room (ie off their phone).

I get it. In our 6 hour session I only think I saw phones come out during breaks or for quick texts to wives. I’m totally ok with that.

I would never buy this, but was intrigued and looked at the pics on their website:

It reminds me of those joke commercials on SNL. I agree that we need to see less devices on Poker tables. One of the games I go to, there's a couple guys that play online on tablets during the game. It's really annoying constantly reminding them it's their turn. One of the few things I liked about online poker, you're held to a strict timer.
