Just wondering what one should expect to pay for these given the condition is rough, some chipped, used, dirty.
4 racks of $1 and 3 racks of $5.

They have certainly seen action, but I'm OK with that. I plan on playing with them so the fact they don't have sharp edges and are chalky new is fine. Almost better in some way. They have history. But I just don't want to pay too much.

Thanks in advanced.

Racks of $1s can go anywhere from $60-$100 depending on the seller. Right now it seems there are a few people looking for them so they may be on the average to high end of that.

$5s in normal/used condition have been pretty steadily around $80 per rack on average with some fluctuation in either direction, again usually depends on the seller and whether or not people are looking for them when they hit the marketplace.

*I'm not an expert and don't have any kind of fancy analysis, this is based on opinion only and what I've seen recently. Normally when I make valuation posts someone comments about 5 minutes later with a more accurate answer. You've been warned.* ;)

Price will fluctuate on both depending on condition. For the $1's $75 to $85 will sell pretty fast, above that may take a little longer unless they are in better than average condition.

The $5's have the most fluctuation because of the multiple variables. Commemoratives get less money. Near mint chips can command a big premium but there really aren't that many.

I was going to take a stab at the end of the auction but if you are interested I will hold off.

I'm high bidder last I checked. Unfortunately, I'm traveling out of the country Monday for the week and probably won't have internet. So I'm just gonna put in my max bid and hope for the best. I'm thinking $550 is the highest I'll go. Really only interested in the $1 though. If I win I might look to unload the $5s. If you see it go over that and stab at it and win, great. Then you can sell me the $1s :D

The Cleveland Horseshoe ones are pissa. And they'll probably never be worth $100 a rack, but they'll probably never be worth too much less than that either. I say they're worth 80 bucks a rack. The fives, on the other hand, are worn RHC chips, and there's a million of them. Or maybe 100,000. I wouldn't buy them at any price, so I'm biased, but I'd say they're worth $65 a rack, tops.

I sold through over 3000 cleaned $1s pretty quickly at $85 per rack on feeBay. I also listed them here for $78 and sold a few racks, but I sold almost 30 racks in less than a month over there. I also sold a couple racks of cherry picked $1s to members here for between $140 to $175 per rack. And I get requests fairly regularly from other members looking to buy more of my cherry picked $1s in VG+ condition (they're not for sale though). That said, for as many of these as there are out there in circulation, there doesn't seem to be too many surfacing. So that means prices will be a little bit higher. On the flip side of that argument is the fact that there's a ceiling for how much heavily used, easily acquirable $1 THC chips will ever go for. I don't see these ever selling for more than $1 ea unless Paulson one day decides to retire the THC mold or something crazy like that happening. I think realistic prices for these will be somewhere between $75 to $90 per rack going forward, and $150 to $200 if they're cherry picked VG+ to mint condition, with eBay pulling prices on the higher end of those ranges.

The $5s... meh... RHC chips suck, but ya, about $80 to $85 per rack for those.
