Leaded and textured inlays. One of a kind set as far as I know.

Could use a cleaning. Cleaned a single of each to show the color.

$1 - 809x
$5 - 146x
$25 - 128x

$2100 + shipping for the set

These are looking better everyday, somebody please buy them lol.
Im trying to be patient and wait for a set on here that has all the denoms I'm looking for, but these are ticking most of the boxes. I'd just need to find some racks of .25s, but it seems like the Gold Star fracs are hard to come by.

GLWS!!!

Whether the set you end up buying is this one or another, one thing to consider is you'll likely need a separate frac solution no matter what. Most sets the fracs are either non-existent or near impossible to find. Hence why many decide to mill/label solids to make their own fracs or use a rack of starburst in the color of their choice to make the set playable for their game.

I appreciate the insight! I'm trying to be patient for the right set and not jump the gun on anything since I've just recently joined, but to your point I may need to get creative and utilize some of the services users offer on here to get some custom fracs or settle for a rack of starbursts. I suppose that's part of the hobby and making a set your own too. Also trying to tread carefully and make sure I buy the right set as I'd really like to not get into the habit of buying chips I won't felt.
Like I said though, each day these Gold Stars are looking more enticing. I love that they're from Galveston, the colors, textured inlays, amount of 1s, etc. They'd be perfect for a cash game. Would be ideal if I had friends that played limit 1 / 1 or 1 / 2

Normally, I’d say they’re probably hiding in the FY Cabinet but not this time around. Me thinks John doesn’t have any of those. Just a beautiful set sitting here teasing everybody.

If you think part of what you need is a limit set, I’d feel extremely safe and confident pulling the trigger. If not at all, keep waiting/looking.

This would be coming into the hobby at the top end and skip over the time/money lost going through a natural progression.

This is a pretty spot on market price all things considered - I’d even call it slightly aggressive.

At absolute worst if you needed to hyper rapidly sell these in the future you could deduct $200 and consider that your rental fee.

Biggest question - what else are you looking at right now in comparison? That will help provide perspective.

And while I think you’re buying from as good of a duo as you can (jeep/flash) I ain’t stanning for shit.

Just letting someone know who may have reservations over such a large first purchase that I personally believe it’s a solid buy and there’s no outcome where the buyer of these loses on the transaction.

Patience will come on the fracs, trying out diff colors/racks until you find your desired match. To that end, im guessing Jeep could provide insights for the buyer into which colors to search for to create a cohesive look.

These messages brought to you by my waiting at the DMV to register the Barrie Bus.

Yeah, imo this is an absolute steal. I'd like to see anything comparable in value that has been sold even somewhat recently. Whoever decides to put in the cleanup duty on these will be pleased.

They have a nice and easy to read inlay, textured, lead, THC, good condition and not tires, classic colors. I've been tempted by them myself many many times, but they would just sit here and look pretty since my rotation of sets at the moment is already absurd as it is.

I appreciate the transparency and for keeping it real since I'm a newbie. The only other set I've seriously considered was this one during it's auction attempt that's now on Classifieds. I love the colors, but wasn't really wanting 2s; similarly to these there were also no fracs. Albeit, they're another beautiful set that seem like a great price when comparing to other recent sales, but I could also be wrong since they haven't sold lol? https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/santa-ysabel-765-chip-set.124969/

To be frank, I think the biggest obstacle for me is if I've already seen so many enticing sets and I've only been on PCF a short amount of time. I'm beginning to think I may just need to start purchasing and reselling what I don't use over time to really determine what my preferences are since I haven't owned high quality chips like these before.

It’s called a catch and release. ;)

The SY 2’s can be relabeled to fracs

That’s a nice set too. But a very different thing when comparing to this gold star set. Neither is a bad choice. Just gotta learn which breed you prefer personally.
