Motorcity quarters or MGM quarters are always worth harvesting. Probably not easy to harvest a large quantity in one night but if you could get a rack I'd be all over it.

Up your bet to $15....if you win, commission is 75c so you give a dollar and get another quarter back, then try pocketing all 3.
Of course if you lose it just cost you $15 to try to protect those 2 quarters in your stack!!! This is why quarter racks sell for $200 or more....takes a lot of time and money to accumulate them.

Yeah..I just figured out the $15 trick to get max quarters. At this rate i'd have to get $500 a rack just to get even! Lol

If you have no quarters in your stack, you bet $25....commission is $1.25, so $2 gets you 3 quarters in change!
It's a vicious cycle!!!!
Maybe this is a reason for $10 table min, and not $5!

Do what I do. Just hang around the tables and make it look like your playing all of them. This is easiest at the MGM because of the way the tables are arranged. then just keep leaning in and asking for change. The dealers don't really seem to care at first. If you time it right the dealers change like every 15-20 minutes. and don't forget the high stakes room in the back for more tables. just say the tables out there don't have any quarters to give. I have managed to remove more than a couple racks without ever playing a hand.

How much do you ask for in change at a time and what denominations?I just got red birds. I suck at this..lol

Just lean in with like two or three dollars worth and ask for quarters. Or lean in with a fiver and ask to have it broken. Say like 2 or 3 in quarters and the rest ones.

I like this thread. Boy times are tough for harvesting these days! The most we ever got in one trip was 3 racks! Helps to have a big winter coat with large pockets!

Don't make them do math. Slide over $50 for 2 racks of quarters and slide over a $100 and tell her "the c-note is for you for being my good luck charm". Take the 2 racks. Walk 4 feet away from the cage. Dump the racks (chips and rack) into a backpack. Leave and drive home.

Havesting is simply getting chips and taking them home with you.
In this situation, a quarter is a 25 cent chip.....there are very few of them in circulation in the casino, perhaps only 30 or 40 at the Greektown paigow table.
