Hello, greetings from Singapore! I was introduced to this forum from someone on carousell (a local app for second-hand items) who was selling a rack of beautiful flamingo Paulsons.

As for myself, i scored almost 500 extremely cheap milanos (SGD$10 or USD7.30) on the same app and I will document my cleaning and oiling process. (hope to get some tips as i have some questions)

I also hope to meet some fellow Singaporeans here, especially cd_chips on carousell who introduced me to this forum. Thanks everyone!

Welcome to PCF, pretty sure is @CDC who sold you the flamingo.

For the milano, you might want to post some pic as there is also knock-off China milano rather than the china clay milano in the market.

But for both version, they don't need oiling as they are closer to plastic rather than clay (who will benefit from oiling)

They only will look "shiny" for awhile and go back to normal once the oil evaporate since they cant absorb the oil.

Oh! he didn’t sell me the chips. we only had a chat. I have also made a new thread here.

Will you be able to tell if they are real or if they are the knock-off china milanos?

They are knock off composite plastic Milanos, you can still see the plastic rough on the edges that you clean on the left and the China Clay have these tapered edges on the right like the pic shown

On the left is the Paulson Clay << >> Milano

We do have a small community of SG/MY user on a whatapps chatgroup. If you are interested u can Pm me with your number when you are able to, I can add you to the group if you want to learn more and buy Clay chip in the future.

A lot of the mass market seller use "Clay" including China-Clay as a gimmick and the only Real Clay are the Paulson Clay and CPC Clay.
