Nice. That seems like a decent price in today’s market. Though $17 to ship a rack is highway freaking robbery. Here’s six racks of ones….

Glad it worked out for youThanks @upNdown & @buffalojim
I actually needed just four more 50 cent chips and a handful of so of $2 chips to fill remaining barrels, so I bought these.

Thanks. Some 50 cent chips I have are faded, although from buying and selling chips for years, I think it's probably just the scan on eBay-- when scanners are used to scan chips they're notoriously bad for picking up colors, especially the bright ones like the peach base of the 50 cent chip. This happens a lot on the chip guide where the scanners are used some of the colors appear faded when they're not.Good deal. the 50 cent chips look extremely faded or something, curious to see how the look.
This cracks me up, and just speaks to the age of singles chip collectors - who in their right mind would use a scanner to post pictures of poker chips online, in 2022?Thanks. Take a picture of the set, I want to seeeeeeeeThanks. I already have you covered.Take a picture of the set, I want to seeeeeeee![]()
Hell yesI already have you covered. It's basically the same set(s) I have in my gallery here -- https://www.pokerchipforum.com/media/albums/california-bell-sets.1652/ although I've added and/or sold a few barrels/small lots of chips since then.
Almost every guy on the chip board lol it's so unfortunate sometimes the chips show up like a faded whitish pink or orange and they're actually blaze or hot pinkThis cracks me up, and just speaks to the age of singles chip collectors - who in their right mind would use a scanner to post pictures of poker chips online, in 2022?
I certainly didn't need them... but the seller wasn't too far away (local pickup). Turns out I'm very glad I went to get these. Here’s six racks of ones….

Very cool. When I saw that Facebook ad, I thought the pictures rack looked to be in a bit better condition than I normally think of those chips. I used to own a few barrels, and as I remember, they were bike tires. And these look like they’re not quite tires. I dunno.I certainly didn't need them... but the seller wasn't too far away (local pickup). Turns out I'm very glad I went to get these.
The seller Larry told me how he and his business partner (Cesare... I think) acquired these from the casino in the '80's when the casino was going bankrupt. These were the last of the original haul. Literally, this was the guy who got the Cali Bells from the casino. He said there were about 80k chips in all. He remembers driving away with the chips in file boxes in the back of his Toyota pickup. It slammed the suspension on the pickup. He said there were only about 20 racks of the white hundos. He also mentioned that there were some un-circulated chips. He said they sold quite a few originally to the dealer schools in Vegas. I'll clean em up and add them to the collection. I think I'll have to take some new pics of the whole set.

Did you get them all? I could use one rack if there’s any left.I certainly didn't need them... but the seller wasn't too far away (local pickup). Turns out I'm very glad I went to get these.

The OP listing the seller has multiple lots. I bought one recently, and someone posted about one a year ago. I reached out to ask how much he’d charge for multiple lots, and he was willing to come down in price. Dunno if he’d only sell one denom though but reach out.Did you get them all? I could use one rack if there’s any left.
Right, and @ekricket wanted some but @Shaggy had bought the second seller out of his 6 racks, so I was telling him that the seller in the OP listing has more than just the one lot (of 10 chips) for sale (he just apparently lists them one lot at a time) and maybe he’d be willing to sell a rack of $1s if he had enough, and didn’t require buying a mix of denoms.Hey @TheOffalo, there are two different groups of chips being discussed in this thread, the 6 racks of $1s that @Shaggy bought was a different eBay seller from the link in the OP.
