This was my first real attempt at harvesting. Well, not counting a wasted Lyft ride to Silver's Seven's in Vegas that was not at all successful.
Thought some of you might enjoy hearing about my experience at Harrah's Pompano Beach. I think their $2 chips are the best live chips currently available. (If you have other favorites, I'd love to hear what other awesome chips are out there).
Stayed in Pompano Beach a few nights this month for work so was able to hit the Harrah's poker room a couple times.
First night I asked for "a few" $2 chips when I bought into the $1-2 game. Guy gave me 10.
I used $5 chips for blinds all night and ended up with a stack of 20 (which was free since I won).
Next night I got smarter and asked for a full stack when I bought in and then just put it in my cargo pocket on the way to the table.
I ended up winning again and held back $120 when I cashed out. After she cashed me out, I pulled out the $120 and asked if she could give me 60 $2 chips for it. She looked at me funny, but counted them out and slid them to me in a rack.
Walked around the corner, sat down at an empty table, and put them all in my other pocket (I always wear Duluth cargo pants. Lol). Pretty pumped to get a full rack of these and for free thanks to some run good!
I was actually really impressed at the chip quality. They must have recently purchased new chips. Many still have the cross hatching on them.
Cleaned up nice in the ultrasonic. Not oiled yet.
