Is there any chance of a casino letting you walk out with say a bank of $2500 to $3000 worth of chips.

400 $1's
200 $5's
and a few barrels of $25's .

Yes, but I'd recommend cherry picking good chips.

That is to say, if you load up 6-7 racks and try to walk out the front door, you might get some odd looks or worse. But that's what backpacks are for--plus, just do it a rack or so at a time.

This French guy did.

I had like 400 singles, 1200 $5s and a couple barrels of $25s from Cleveland Horseshoe when they were live. Back when they opened I was going every other weekend and just got into the habit of taking chips back and forth instead of going to the cage before and after playing. Time saver and was fun to have them at home.

Yeah, I think the casino isn't going to complain too much. As long as you're buying $5 and above they're making out.

Take that 1500 chip Bellagio set. Cost Bellagio...maybe $2,200-$2,500 to have GPI make. Got paid by the "french guy"..face value is $9,375.

I think Bellagio made out in this transaction.

I've gotten out of a casino with 900 chips in one day. I did split it up between two cages and 3 different transactions though. Much easier in casinos with a poker room, bring a backpack.

Make sure you trust the people you play with. If i hosted a game with live chips i bet chips would go missing

If you're playing the game at face cash value this shouldn't matter, they paid the same amount you did for them. Just have some extras on hand for when/if they go missing like any other sets.

Ya just have to keep an eye on chips not in play

I wouldn't have that problem. If people other then the regulars were going to play I might use different chips.

And keep some extra cash on hand in case some players decide to bring chips to play instead of cash if you are using a local casinos chips.

I'm intrigued! I thought CPC had a policy not to use real/active casino names on chips. How did he pull that off?

My best guess would be that he could have bought the chips blank and had them stamped by a 3rd party, but I didn't even know these chips existed until today so I'm about as uneducated as you can be about these particular chips.

Pretty awesome set though!

I think this is correct. He did these back when you couldn't get factory stamping, but there were a couple active stampers in Europe.

I found the pictures of when I took the live set from the Horseshoe in northern Indiana back...the cashier gave me the weirdest look when I told her we bought them and took them home to play poker with.
