I suppose large is relative, but I spent about an hour this weekend frantically looking for 1000 chips that seemed to have simply disappeared. I honestly thought for a moment that I had somehow left them somewhere on the way to or from a game and that they were just gone.

I ended up finding them in a 1000-chip case slid under a bookcase that looked to small to conceal the case.

For me the line is between "lost" and "misplaced". I know somewhere in my house I will find 200 PCA $5 primary and ~350 Ambassador Plaza Roulettes. I haven't seen them in years and I have looked. But I have faith someday, somehow these lost children will come home to papa.

I went through this just this weekend. Both my skyway bowls and my fitz quarters were in parts unknown. There were only 3 racks of fitz quarters. I found them in a storage tub in one of my guest bedroom closets, and the skyway bowls were in a couple places. I had a 1000 chip case under the love seat in my living room. Found those relatively quickly, but I had 500 1s in a FRB still form the original shipping from the chip room. Or so I thought. The FRB box was long ago disposed, and the bag that was within the box was all that remained. That bag was on an upper shelf in a different guest bedroom closet.

Sadly, this has happened to me on more than one occasion. Always ended up finding them as nothing has ever been truly lost, just misplaced.

Better get ready to use your copy/paste functions on about 40 threads per day. This entire forum is a first world problem.

Well sure, but there are levels. You guys are misplacing more chips than I even own!

Only briefly at my house but I've purchased and donated 800 Bremerton Lanes paulsons and 700 Great Wall tourney customs that got lost for years between the moves and houses of a couple friends. The Bremertons were found.

Happens to me all the time: I misplaced my set of mint/near mint Trop 2nd editions somewhere at @ssanel54's house, I know I accidentally left my set of Mapes somewhere in @AfterTheFact's game room and after one too many Treehouse brews I seem to have left my set of Dunes tourney chips behind, somewhere in @bergs' basement.

...But they're stand-up guys and I'm sure they'll get them right in the mail back to me post-haste.

Well...lost? I don't know. Forgotten?...yup. I think Scott has stored a couple thousand chips at his house that I have forgotten about. It will be like Christmas in July again. Then there are some at Dave's in Atlanta....I think I have chip in NY at Bentax and Derek's closets too. I got it mostly written down somewhere. So yeah, I've lost me mind and a few thousand chips somewhere.

I misplaced about 300 chips a couple of weeks ago at the poker table in Planet Hollywood in Vegas.

Yeah, I've lost racks, and even entire chip sets before..... but on the other hand, I've also ~found~ entire chip sets I didn't remember buying, while looking for the 'lost' ones. It was like an unexpected bonus chiproom sale with immediate delivery. :D

I have only lost some crappy dice chips so far and hope my Paulsons will not get misplaced any time soon. I did loose a table top once though.. Big, oval, full ring table top in one piece.. Not even foldable, lol. Wonder what happened to that one. Anyways, I digress, this is not pokertableforum after all.
