I have an Empress $25 (that I weighed) and it's heavy as hell. 11.25 grams for an inlaid 39mm chip is gigantic. You may not be far off that your Empress $500 feels like a brick. It likely is.

Drugs are drugs, regardless of their legality. Caffeine and nicotine are by far the most prevalent addictive drugs in the Western world (and much of the rest, too). Aside from refined sugar, of course.
