It seems you read my mind somewhat. I have heard of Jacks poker and they do have decent products, but it is hard to resist Paulson’s. Hopefully I can find what I’m looking for here.Welcome friend... shipping chips from the US is expensive but luckily you have an awesome supplier in Australia for lower end chips and awesome cases... have you checked out jackspoker.com.au, awesome website in my opinion very similar to our Apache poker chips site, which is also fantastic!! I'm sure you have herd of Jack's but if you haven't definitely worth waisting some time there! Or have you set your eyes on Paulsons and now there's no going back to cheaper chips? Lol again welcome there is close to an infinite supply of poker chip knowledge here and more importantly friendly people willing to help with any questions you may have!! Best of luck on your poker chip journey!! Fellow chipper Ben
Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.

Oh right, my mistake. Those Jacks Detroit chips do look great. Can I ask why those chips are not considered the “best”? They certainly look good enough for me at least.I think you've misunderstood. By "Jacks" we mean the Jack Detroit casino, recently sold for rebranding, stranding many thousands upon thousands upon thousands of brand new Paulson chips that were never delivered and never played, and through providence made it into the hands and tables of many a chipper on PCF. If you browse the Classifieds, you will see some of them for sale. Although many would not consider them the "best" chips around, the circumstances of their acquisition may well have been a once-in-a-chippers-lifetime opportunity, hardly to be repeated.

@Player1 I was speaking of Jack's the chip company in Australia, but yes Jack's casino chips are very nice!! Like @allforcharity says "THE BEST" is subjective to many things, many people search for rare chips, older chips, also the whole casino used aspect... Jack's was supposed to become a casino but never actually happened so in a sense it almost as if they are fantasy chips and not casino used... but then again everyone wants mint condition new chips from the casinos... so who knows... many like older leaded THC chips with shaped inlays the best... some people love and only buy ceramic chips... so again it's about buying samples of everything and finding what's best for you. Within your budget try to get a barrel of as many different manufacturers as you can... this place is not about buying your dream set tomorrow and done... it's about the journey of building sets.... all dependent on your budget some have the money to buy many sets at a time but for most of us it's a rack, sometimes one chip at a time! But hey just my opinion!!! Enjoy wherever the journey takes you!! Fellow chipper BenWell, "best" is subjective. Everybody has their favourite types of chips for various reasons.
But, they are for sure in the "best" condition. Initial availability was truly Mint, unplayed, minimally handled. For the most part can still be purchased in similar condition.
I see, I thought you might have been referring to some minor defect in the Jacks Detroit chips. Preference in chips is definitely a highly subjective thing.@Player1 I was speaking of Jack's the chip company in Australia, but yes Jack's casino chips are very nice!! Thanks for the explanation, I can see how that would be important for some people. But given that I would intend to use them regularly, their condition isn’t a great concern to me.Well, "best" is subjective. Everybody has their favourite types of chips for various reasons.
