Hello Everyone,

I've been a member for a while but never introduced myself. I'm mike, I've been collecting casino chips off and on for the past 17 years. I mainly collect chips and dice from illegal casinos. I have been a lurker here for over a year I believe. I own a playing card company and we were branching out into poker chip sets so we used this wonderful site as a guide. We still don't know all of the ins and outs but we are improving. If I can ever be of assistance feel free to message me.

Were you branching out into making selling or buying poker chip sets?

Hello Brie,

I have been lucky a couple of times. We have produced 6 decks working on our 7th. I thought it would be cool to have a gaming set that includes cards, chips, dice and layouts. It took a little while to get the chips the way we wanted them but this site was of tremendous value in that regard. I will post some pics for discussion on what people do and don't like about the series but I need to get approved as a vendor before I show anything like that.

We do have a kickstarter coming up in the next 3-6 weeks. We are waiting on film production and reviewers to complete their work prior to the launch. I will keep all of you updated as this develops.

That's the kind of feedback that I like to hear. We can certainly make samples available but I will have to check the time line. We only printed a sample run of 600 for photos, reviewers and samples. After the fact we realized that wasn't enough so we are working on correcting this issue.

Are you able to disclose the type of chip being produced? Ceramic, hybrid, CPC?
 
Certainly,
We did a ceramic chip on this particular set. I'm a huge fan of the composite clay chips but we could not locate a manufacturer that could produce the quality that we were looking for. Between that and the artwork being better suited for ceramic we decided to go with a high quality ceramic chip with edge printing. They turn out great! They have plenty of grip to keep the checks from shooting everywhere. The chips have consistent sizing both in thickness and radius. They are the 10g chips that have a great feel and sound to them. I've reach out to a couple of chip reviewers and hopefully we will have a review video to share by Monday.
 
I can share the deck so you can get an idea of the artwork.
