What is your budget?
Are you set on the 1000 chip figure? A 1 table tourney set can be done for ~400 chips leaving you with 600 chips for a cash game.
I added on another 25x t1000 value Prestege chips from Straitpokersupplies.ca. @$4/25 they are cheap as it gets and honestly I love them. I have all sorts of Paulsons but I love this non-cash denominational set. The chips stack great for cheapo's, are basically disposable for cost, and have very nice easy to read labels. You may want to have one ~400 chip set for tournaments and a different set for cash so that they do not get confused and "replayed by players" in a cash game. There are other options but if you are willing to spring ~.40 to .50 cents per chip you can order custom chips from china or ~.80-$1+usd for custom ceramics in the US but a higher quality.

875 pictured, I added another roll of t1000's for 900 total in this any stakes mobile, travel, loaner, boardgame, kids set. I have had the more expensive sets from the same dealer and have sold them acquiring this set afterwards and I like these best. There not Paulson's by any means but for one table you can basically play any game you want with them. My only two gripes are that the t1 and t10 value chips can dirty stack as they use the same two base colours, and the edge say "Texas Hold'Em". In a 0.05/0.10 cash game you can avoid using the t10, in a 0.10/0.20 game you can avoid using the t1 using a 0.50 chip instead with the next denom being t5.

Thanks for your detailed reply! I think that is a good suggestion on getting 600 chips for a cash game and then a separate set for tournaments. My budget is pretty flexible. I was looking into getting the CPC Rounders CSQ mold chips. The only thing is their lowest denomination chip is 0.25. Is it possible to run a 0.25/0.25 game?

I run a $0.25/$0.25 home game with 8 players, and my denoms are 25, 50, $1 and $5.
The 50 cent chip is not really required, but my players like using them. The work horse Chips are the $1.
My $25 buy in is
10 - $0.25
11 - $0.50
12 - $1.00
1 - $5.00

You can substitute for more $1.00 and maybe 2 more $0.25 chops.
I use the $1.00 and $5.00 for rebuys and top ups.

125 - $0.25
100 - $0.50
200 - $1.00
50 - $5.00

I've never come close to running out of chips. We may have max 4-5 top ups or rebuys during a session of 4.5 hours...
We can top up or rebuy $25 more when we get down to $5 in our stack.
Depending on your length of play, you may want 50 more $1.00 to take the place of my $0.50 chips and more $5.00 if you are playing long sessions with more buy ins.
You don't need as many $0.25 because change can be made around the table for a $1.00. The less $0.25 the better for calculating the cash outs at the end of play.
It seems the last time around the table before cash out, every player tries to use their $0.25 chips so they don't have as many to count

you can absolutely do .25/.25 for small/big blind. If you think there may be stakes of less than 0.25cents then you could order a "x" non-denomination chip in the set to allow for flex as .10 or other as needed. 0.25 chips should be ordered in multiples of x4 for easy calculations to $1 if possible
..25x 80 or 120 will allow you to give from $2-3 per player...if you only buy 100 then you will eventually give out uneven stacks at a full table.
120x .25
180x $1
240 x $5
20-50 x $25
10-20 x $100

Will get you through the night easily without a rake.

What would I have to change if I wanted to cover 0.25c/0.50c and 0.50c/$1 games in the future? Would it be worth investing in 50c chips as well?

if playing .25/.50 then only .25 chips would be needed. .50cent chips would be a hassle and unnecessary denomination with $1 chips in play.

if you occasionally play .50/$1 then .25's are fine, if its a regular game then some .50 chips would make sense and eliminate the .25 chip all together.

The only "50" denom chips I have are in the pictured set above.....i personally wouldn't bother with 50cent chips.

Ok, I've decided to get two sets of chips. A cash chips with this breakdown and a tournament set.

For the tournament set I'm looking to mirror the Casino Royale game but with 10 people. I'd probably looking into a 5 million buy in. I'm just wondering what breakdown of 5k, 25k, and 100k chips I might need. I'm thinking of ordering 40x 500k plaques and 20x 1000k plaques. The plaques will double as $25/$100 chips in my cash games.

Since I'm removing the $25 and $100 chips from the cash set, I'm left with an uneven 540 chip order. Should I just order 200 x $5 chips for the cash set to keep it a round 500 chips?
