Hey everyone!

New to the forum here. Like I posted in another thread, I've been reading around these boards for awhile now but just decided to join.

I've always liked poker chips. When I was young I'd get chips from Atlantic City casinos from relatives and liked playing with them. My obsession with poker began in 2005 when I was enthralled by Hachem winning the Main Event. I was 12 at the time. It's been an obsession ever since. First set was the traditional dice chips. About 5 or 6 years ago upgraded to yin/yang metal insert but thought they were "casino weight." When I could finally walk into a casino awhile later, I learned they weren't even close.

Finally last summer, I discovered Hobbyphillic's YouTube page and discovered all about true poker chips. And I discovered this world of amazing chips outside of the cheap things you can buy in stores. I went out and bought 125 CPS tournament chips just to have WSOP replicas. I break them out if I have a small home game of 3 guys or if I play heads up against someone. Back in the Fall I went out and bought 300 Dunes chips from Apache and really enjoy them. Grabbed 25 of the new China clay versions a few weeks ago just to try them. I plan on topping off the set with the last 175 sometime soon.

I frequent Atlantic City quite often since I'm not terribly far away. And work occasionally takes me down that way. Someday I'll hop over and check out the Philadelphia casinos. I never seem to have the time to get over there and usually prefer Atlantic City since I think there are more games and tournaments down there. I have a nice collection of chips and decks of cards from every casino down there. The only deck I need is Borgata, and they are very elusive. Chips I have from every casino, including the closed ones.

Home games...usually just 4 or 5 guys playing tournament style. $10 or $20 buy in. 20 mins blind levels. One rebuy until a certain level. 2nd wins buy-in back, winner takes the rest. Like I just posted over in Home games, I'm looking to start doing cash games with the same group of guys but trying to figure out how to make it work.

Welcome!

Chips I have from every casino, including the closed ones.

Every casino?

Golden Nugget? (Not the current one, which used to be Trump Castle and is run by Landry... the one from 1980, run by Wynn, which later became Bally's Grand and later the Atlantic Club)

Claridge? Resorts? Sands?

Playboy? (Yes, there was one, and there are chips out there...) Atlantis?

There may yet be treasures for you to find...

Okay not all. You got me there. But the current ones plus the recently closed. Including Resorts and the old Resorts International. Thanks to eBay, I've been able to get my hands on chips from Claridge, Sands, and Atlantis. Playboy are tough to find at a good price, same with Trump Worlds Fair. World's Fair is the one I'm currently after. I have a relative with a box of old chips that I'm going to go through hopefully soon and see if I can pull out some old ones.

Cards I have from all current casinos (minus Borgata) plus closed Showboat, Taj, and Plaza. I have old versions of Tropicana and Caesars and newer versions with the new logos. I even have some decks from Hilton which I know are rare since it was only ACH for awhile before becoming Atlantic Club.

Thanks everyone for the welcome!
