Getting back into (very recreational) poker a bit after a long hiatus, and this seems like a great forum. Have always loved poker chips, as a kid I put together a Bakelite set from a thrift shops before ‘dice’ chips came out.

Are there other PCF’ers in the Rochester, NY area?

Welcome! We don't live in the area, but my wife has faimiy in Walworth that we visit often.

Welcome aboard!
Hope you dont catch the chipping bug here, those bakelite chips wont last long ;):p

Thought you had quite a hike to make it up here?

About 2 hours. I would consider doing some sort of weekend in Rochester, getting a hotel or crashing at a friends if I came.

“Some sort of weekend in Rochester”

That sounds like something you’d have seen at a ‘90s film festival.

Great. That basically means I’m living in a 25-year old artsy film. I’m probably ironic or something.

Seriously, if you’re going to drive 2 hours I feel like we should at least set up a game of some kind.

Huh, this makes 7 of us and counting in or near the ROC, and one in CNY, plus 2 frequent visitors. I had no idea so many of you were so close!
We should absolutely all go out for a beer in September. Everyone should bring a shuffling stack of their favorite chips. :-)

What chips to y'all Rochester-people have?
I've got a large-ish set of custom labeled Milanos that is currently driving me crazy.

1200 Milano set and I’m starting to work with a friend who has a drill press on customizing THC hotstamps to be Cincinnati HS 1000s (fuchsia) and 5000s (blurple) so that I can start collecting a tourney set off the chip exchange. Also resurfacing the Barrington table my wife got me for Fathers Day with speed cloth. It never ends!!!!

Oh, MAN that is going to be an awesome set! I am so jealous, I love Cinci HS.
When you get your Cinci set together, if you find you then have a lot of Milano's you don't want anymore, message me. I am trying to expand my set but am struggling b/c I can't find Milano's that are remotely matching in color for $25s and higher... if yours are a remotely close match to my existing, I'll buy some off you. :-)

I bought Milano 5000s and the barrel I bought is this orangey pink and is not even remotely close to the sample pink I had. They aren’t consistent with their processes.

Hey guys,
A card room in falls is closing, I’m inquiring about getting a chunk of these Claysmith CC chips for a relabel project. Would any of you guys want these?

I presume he has bucketfuls of the trapezoids and enough of the 3-stripes to run a very large tourney...

Guys, the quantities available for the chips is in this post:

I decided that the tournament $100s and $500s are so close in color that they are worthless.

If anybody wants a huge cash set of these relabeled trapezoid (Milano) chips, I’m sure you can pick these up cheap, and I’d be interested in splitting the 100s with you.

Otherwise I’m passing on this one.
