I’ve been a long time lurker in this forum and decided it was time to post a little and join the community! My love for poker has grown over covid with friends by hosting microstakes .02/.05, .05/.1, and .1/.2 in my garage. I hope to chat with some of you guys soon :)

Welcome! The fun thing about poker chips is that you can get $1 and $5 denominations and play them as 1c/5c or even 10c/50c to scale with your stakes. Before long you'll be playing $1/$2 with the same chips.

yes! this is exactly what we’ve been doing :) this is my homegame setup so far, we play on a barrington fold up table with majestics, this forum was amazing at helping me refelt the table.

Welcome @mrhoneybunz! I’m up in North County SD. Planning to start hosting a monthly .25/.5 NLHE - you’re welcome to join when I get it going

Cheers
Kam

Welcome - love your setup. We've been thinking about getting a shuffler of some kind, too. Had a really cheap one years back that ate more cards than it shuffled, so it seems like you have to invest to get something worthwhile.

If you’re iffy about the price I would go and email shuffletech if they have any refurbished units for sale. This would cut down on both cost and lead time :)

I am getting ready to put SSC on my Barrington table. How did you get such a perfect bet line oval on your table?

i achieved my “perfect” betting line by using a ruler, some painters tape, and my biggest pot. if i had a bigger one it wouldve been wider but the one i used was the biggest i could find. I started by measuring the pot diameter and found the centering point of the table. with this i marked how long i wanted my betting line with painters tape. when i was ready and everything was set I used a metallic grey sharpie to outline, i traced carefully the painters tape on the side, and using the pot I traced the end circles. I would suggest doing a light trace with something not permanent to give a better and polished look before everything is set in place, i didnt have any chalk or something like that so I just winged it but it came out nice i think. :) heres a picture of what it should somewhat looklike to give u a better understanding. Also before setting anything in stone make sure all sides of the betting line are equal length space from the rail, this should help u double check everything is good

Love the ingenuity of your process. Appreciate the pic to show how you did that.
