Greetings from San Antonio TX. I've always played with old cheap chips, decided it was time to update, now I'm here. I have sample chips from Apache (Majestics, Dunes, Pharaohs), Key West, CPC Rounders, BR Poker (Tiki Kings, Nevada Jacks, Spades). I've learned more about poker chips in the last few weeks than I ever thought I would care to learn in my life. I've "gone down the rabbit hole" and have narrowed my samples down to the Apache Majestics, the Key West, or the Rounders.

In terms of chip quality Key West is way above Majestics. If you like the Key West colors then it is an easy decision.

Actually, I did get a sample set from Apache called Paulson Elite. They feel very plastic. Not what I imagined. Any idea what the story is with those? I really wanted to like them due to the vibrant colors and design, but they feel cheap

Try to get some Paulson THC mold chips. Can also do RHC but they are damaged more easily.
