Hey y’all my name is Pat! I just caught the chip bug about 6 months ago. Now I’m getting in debt and getting tons of crap from the wife. Is it worth it? Heck yeah! I used to play a lot of home games but now I go downtown and play at Motor City Casino mostly. (All my home games dries up) I like the 1/2 round by round PLO/NLH game. Rec player for 17 years now. Cheers!
 
Hey dudes! Nice to meet ya. I prefer the home games as well. After the poker boom slowed down it’s been hard for me to get 5+ people over to play. At least the casinos are close.

As Mike said the southern MI. home games are robust near us. There is probably a home game 3 weekends out of the month between S. Lyon, Ypsilanti, Livonia, and a few other locations.

We play anything from a HOPE rotation to dealers choice. Stakes are usually .25/.50 to 1/1 with a 100 max buy in.
 
That’s why home games rock. Stakes are a little more manageable. My game (when I can muster enough troops) is a .10/.20 NLH/PLO with a $20 buy in. I have a couple of youngsters that are learning to play so we keep it cheap. I’m all about bringing new people to the game.

Btw motor city 25 cents is one of my favorite chips!!!
 
I bought a lot of 162 singles which I posted pics in the collectibles thread. I have a full set of Nexgen pros but have been upgrading to Paulsons via @Apache. I love the Detroit jacks. I got Cherokee Harrahs nickels which I plan to relabel with Jack 5’s

I've been downtown (MGM and Motor City mostly), but the home game is solid, and there is no rake, so there's no need to go downtown for me. Seems like someone is hosting in Ypsi, South Lyon, Livonia, Wayne, Birmingham or Howell every week...

You do have a great group of members in the Detroit burbs. I have traveled from Virginia on a couple of occasions to hang out and splash pots with these guys.
