Hi PCF, just checking in and getting my first post out of the way. Been lurking for about a week and I've been very impressed by the vibrant and active chip community! Looking foward to becoming a part of it.

I recently restarted hosting my home game after several years of hiatus and purchased a set of Milanos, but after browsing the forum I'm anxious to upgrade my set already! Thinking about ordering some plaques this week, but at this point I can only imagine what sets I may own in the future.

Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Welcome to the forum.

When you get a chance please visit the " origin of your user name thread ". Inquiring Minds want to know.
Perhaps I shall, but while I have my own thread I may as well mention it here: My name is Richard so I have the rare option of using Dick as a name. My last name isn't Zapper but it starts with a Z. Dick Zapper. Guaranteed reactions!

Welcome.

How do you find the Milano chips? I'm about to place an order for some. It's near on impossible to find sample sets over here without spending a third of what 700 will cost me.

Welcome to PCF, lots to do and see here, good people and advise...

BTW, just get a Custom set from CPC, its groining to happen one way or another....:D

Ah yes...sets...plural. You're a wise one to realize this early in the game that you will own more than one.
Haha, naturally. Been a collector since the first day I remember... Always been obsessed about owning one of every color of a set. It started with crayon coin banks. Technically the milano's are like my forth set so far.

Welcome.

I went with a 200 chip set from pokerchipmania.com because I wanted the 25's and up and they offered seemingly the best price on sleeves of 25 and I needed a variety of denoms. The scheme was to convert the dollar amount of the chips to centavos. But then I needed to fill out the set - so the following week I went with Apache - because I wanted a sleeve of orange CPS for $20's and they offered a comparable prices on sleeves of milano's of which I only needed a few.

I found pokerchipmania the best site to cherrypick sleeves of 25 milanos. But if you're happy with lower denom chips, namely the 1's and 5's, I believe I have seen better deals on aluminum case sets of eBay.

Amazon prime has will get you sets of 50 milanos for $20 at lightning speed, but basically the shipping is included in the price. For some reason, Amazon will bang you out on sleeves of 25 but when getting 50 the price is proper.

Happy hunting!

Already on it, my man! However I think deciding on my CPC set is going to be a months-long process!

Thanks for the welcome from you all!

Awesome.. A month, I hope you take longer, to get it exactly what you want...(y)

I was unaware Amazon had these. Interesting.
Sure are, mine got to NY in less than 3 days. Milano's are technically claysmith chips, no? Amazon seemed to be flooded with claysmith chips at the moment. I'm almost considering ordering some other sets just have chips in the mail but I aught to just save up for nicer sets instead. I realized switching up to different claysmith sets (Paulson edge spot knock-offs with the alternating 4 triangle and 4 line dual-colored, forgetting the names currently) would have been brilliant for my higher denom cash set chips.

Actually, update, my plaques are already in the mail, but it feels like it's not enough!
