Okay - I'm sort of narrowing my next chip purchase down to either the CPS chips or the Majestics. They're neck and neck (I was thinking of the Milanos, but they don't shout "LOOK AT ME!" the way either of these do...

I can't decide. Depends on the use, and which denoms you intend to get. Both are fine sets.

IMHO

I have both and if I had to choose 1 it would be the majestics based upon both feel and sound. Both chip set are beautiful, the CPS suffer from over crosshatching which I am not fond of.

Denoms are as per the pic : 1/5/25/100/500 if I get the Majestics, or 1k/5k/25k etc if I get the CPS... Tourneys, not cash.

I'm pretty sure @MD Mike Mike has both sets, I like the Majestic more.

buy both...and unload one or the other if you dont want to keep both, if you lose a buck or so selling the set you dont like, look at it as a rental or trial fee and leave it at that.....

after 5 or 10 sets you prolly will buy and sell if you hang around here a few years it becomes a no brainer....

i have a cash CPS with a bunch of nickels specifically for this time of year with family holiday gathering...never touched a majestic, they look good also..

I have the CPS and love them, wasn't fond of the cross hatching at first but they are breaking in nicely, and my players have good things to say. Also not a fan of the black "inlay" but that is just me.

I'm one that has stated many times what I don't like about the CPS chips (crosshatching, bevel, colors, etc) but I played a tournament with them a little while a go and they were just fine. We all have our likes and dislikes, and being chip addicts our "likes" are usually based around chips that cost 5 times as much as CPS chips, so for all the "negativity" that the CPS chips have received they are still excellent chips in looks and play-ability and would make 99% of the people who came into contact with them very happy, even more so as they break in I have found. I personally might lean towards the majestics for a few reasons, but I think this is a good decision for you to have because you can't go wrong, either one you pick will be a winner and your players will love them.

I like both sets for different reasons, but I think that the Pharaoh's Club set has important attributes not present on either of the other two sets. I seee it as a three-way race to the finish line, with Pharaoh's winning by a nose..... (and the Milano nags finish dead last after pulling up lame).

If I could only have one set of the three, it would be the Pharaoh's Club. If I could only have two sets, it would be a Majestics cash set and a CPS tournament set. If I could have all three sets... oh, wait....
