You can read about my band and our upcoming gig here.

The tl:dr is: my wife, son and myself are playing fun covers for my nephew's graduation party. We're having a lot of fun, and may look for future gigs.

Considerations so far (in no particular order):
  • The Beakertwang Family Band: No one has actually called me Beaker, or Twang since my older brothers did to tease me when I was 6, but Beakertwang has been my only online handle.
  • Thiccer Than Water: We're family, somewhat overweight, and oh so sexy!
  • 3ven: Our last name is Even, and we're a 3-piece band
  • Gene Pool and the Shallow End: thought this one was funny, but not sure if I like the implication of inbreeding. :D
  • The Someday Babies: This goes way back with my wife and me. A "someday baby" is a thing we'll get or do some day in the future. As, in "I want a set of custom THC's." "Someday, baby"
  • The Honey-Do's: This is actually an offshoot of the Beaker thing (i.e., Professor Bunson Honeydew)
  • Eff Da Popo: not really in the running, but it was hilarious when my wife suggested it. :ROFLMAO:

If you want to make some suggestions, here is some info about us:
  • We're all nerds, and/or dorks
  • Last name is Even. Andrew, Grace, and Jeremiah.
  • As much as we want the music to sound respectably good, we want everything to be fun.
  • We are Southeast Iowa's premier 3-piece, single-family, acoustic cover band, playing all your least favorite hits from the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, aughts, teens, and today. Yep, we've already earned that distinction.

Tell your wife, I felt the need to learn how to edit a gif, just to have an appropriate response to this. :ROFLMAO:

We tried for an hour trying to come up with a name. After a while, everything started to sound the same. Otter Pop Junkies. Truck. Who knows what else.

Then Fruit Pie (another story for another time) said the band should be “Hat.” Except not the word “Hat,” he said. An actual hat.

Someone asked, “You mean, a picture of a hat?” Fruit Pie said no, again, hat is the name of the band.

“So, somewhere in the universe there is a hat that is the name of the band?!” Yeah, something like that, he said.

We wound up with Itsy Bitsy Spiders.

Beakertwang and the Baby Shakers

Lol, I was going to call my next band Dr. Jimmy and the Baby Shakers, but it never panned out. I reserve the right to use ....and the baby shakers if it ever happens though.
