For older and more unique Nevada
singles I use The Chip Rack as a base reference, but even there and recently, I'm looking at
eBay for prices. I figure that's a better metric of what folks are willing to pay for those chips.
For larger numbers of chips and
sets, quite honestly older classified prices here are a much better metric as we are the primary buyers and sellers of chips in that form.
I know I make notes on sales of casino Paulson sets exchanged here, even from stuff sold back beginning on ChipTalk, to see where those items I have now stand.
Like the line from Antiques Roadshow, "for insurance purposes, I value this item at...". It's good to know, and useful when making adjustments to my policies.
