Here's a first - good chips on a TV show - CHEERS! (1 Viewer)

Yup, this is from the first season episode of Cheers called "Pick a con, any con." I ran into it last night on netflix. Totally worth a watch; it guest stars Harry Anderson. You could tell they were real chips when norm was handing out stacks, just by the way he squeezed the stacks. And as he thumped them down on the table, there was no doubt. And thankfully the closeup came - have a look at these beauties:

With a different spot color on the black chips, I might buy a set if CPC were to make these.

Love Harry Anderson. I wouldn't be surprised if Harry had anything to do with the poker shots or card manipulation shots that he didn't demand some bit of accuracy including the chips.

What an awesome find in an old Cheers episode! All I know is I bought some old, chalky mint, Paulson custom solid hotstamps from someone on eBay, they and they came shipped in these blue boxes. It seemed like the boxes were just as old as the chips and the chip dust in the boxes, so I assume these blue boxes were the same type of boxes Paulson used to ship chips.
