Hi everyone,
I’m from Alberta Canada. Have always loved the game of poker although with life and family the reality is it’s hard to play too much anymore. But that hasn’t stopped me from wanting to collect poker chips. My wife wonders why I want to collect them if I’m not gonna play with them that often but at least she doesn’t object haha.

So found this forum and I’m really hoping to collect a few nice sets. So far reading all the various threads have been very interesting.

Anyhow look forwards to learning more about poker chips!

Welcome friend, 7 months ago I didn't know what Paulson, BCC, TRK, and Matsui even was in reference to... now my girlfriend @FordPickup92 and I have over 10k invested in nice chips! It's a sickness and it can get very bad... we all say hide your paypal account password but realistically unless you have super self control you will be broke like the rest of us before long!!! Looking forward to seeing where your journey takes you! So you have been snooping around checking out pictures, any plans for a first set?? Fellow chipper Ben

Theres a plethora of great sets for sale right now, so you locked a good time to join in!
Also glad you've had a chance to do some browsing, therea ALOT of info gathered here.
Hopefully obtaining some chips will spark some availability in your life to get a few more games in!!
There are several members here also in Canada (@Jeevansluck) so you might have a chat with them they host games, if you have an opportunity and are nearby (I know nothing of the geography of Canada lol) you may want to inquire about catching a game sometime!!

Yeah I’m the same! Since I’ve started on this forum I’ve discovered so many more sets of chips that are awesome. Before this I said I just wanted 1 pristine set. Now I’m eating my words. I’ve been looking around and I’ve got my eye on the le noirs or some empress stars if the opportunity arises!

Quickly change your paypal password... write it on a piece of paper... throw the paper out the window and log out of paypal!! You should be safe!! Haha

There are a lot of nice sets out there! All my fellow canadians however can probably attest to the pain of all chips selling in US currency though
Even so its a ton of fun reading about everything!
