Been a lurker for a while and hadn't registered or wanted to post but this year I want to start a proper home game and get a custom set up so decided the time was right.
Long time poker player, and somewhat small time poker chip collector. I had always kind of kept a $1 or $5 from casinos in which I played but prior to COVID I started taking it a bit more seriously and began buying up specific chips or special editions that meant something to me. I have been kind of focused on Florida and the east coast where I played a lot. I have chips from every licensed Florida cardroom at this point and a bunch of the AC properties. Trying to get some of the harder to find older chips now. I got to the Casino Collectible Association's Show two years ago when my WSOP trip just happened to work out around it. That was pretty cool to see some of the better collections.
Currently trying to find a limited edition $5 from Palm Beach Kennel Club (Greyhound in the beach chair), the $100 Taj, and the $500 Mirage but all the Mirage chips have gone crazy with the place shutting down so that probably won't happen anytime soon.
I want to buy a custom chip set for in the next month or two, make a new table, and host a game once a month type thing.
With the custom chips, if I have a buddy do the label design, how difficult is it to buy the custom labels and put them on a blank chip? Is that a service I'm better off trying to find or something that can be done pretty easily?
