I'm mostly a newb. I've played at a $75-buy in charity tournament 3 times, and a couple of $20 home games, including the first one at my home last week.

I still consider myself a newb. This hobby is incredibly nuts and it's hard to learn it all. I came to the board with only vague knowledge of Paulson Pharaoh's and I've since purchased and sold a whole set of them, so the needs and wants become quite fickle if you are new. They did for me, although, I'm quite settled now

Settled = broke and hungry ..

I'll just be sleeping under a pile of chips with the wife and kid soon!

New, janky Franklin table with original slow felt, 600-800 dice chips I took home from work years after their owner quit, two plastic Bicycle Prestige decks (one red, one blue), mismatched chairs. But we had fun, and I ended a few bucks up!

Awesome!! Looks like an excellent start!! At the end of the day having fun is what matters most!! Dont worry about the dice chips or the chairs, you will have the rest of your life time to upgrade if you choose to!!!!
