say what now?For a single chip, I believe it was several hundred thousand dollars
For a rack I’m not sure. A barrel of vineyard 500s cost me 6000.
Chips are meant to be played.I’m just getting into chipping so this feels like a dumb question. If you pay a high price for a rack, do you ever plan on using them in a game or are they purely a display item?
I paid $200 for a CDI $10 original movie chip that was never actually used in the movie. Just in a still shot.

I agreeChips are meant to be played.
That’s a whole other debate. It seems like the majority opinion on PCF is that you play with your chips, but I think a lot of the people who never (or rarely) play with their expensive chips, may be keeping their opinions to themselves.I’m just getting into chipping so this feels like a dumb question. I would explain to that player that if I was missing a chip after he played, he would be missing some fingers after I caught up with him.I had a player explain they liked to collect a chip from where they play, I was grateful they mentioned it, so I gave them my only sample chip so I didn't have to worry about it

Personally, I don’t think I’ve ever spent more than $25 or so on a chip.
