Hi all, just joined the forum after stalking for a week or so. Enjoy all the discussions and the education on chips. I've been collecting for 20yrs with chips from at least 10 countries. Originally from the US but have called Hong Kong home for over a decade. Frequent Macau several times a year but it'll never be the same as Vegas.
Love those Aurora Star threads! Once i get established, would love to jump in on a custom set for a home craps setup I'm building towards.

Welcome to PCF! We share almost opposite lives—I’m originally from the states but spent a majority of my life growing up in HK! Came back stateside for college and lived in Chicago ever since. Hope the political climate over there isn’t impacting you as much as what I’ve been hearing from friends and the news. Stay safe and happy chipping!

Welcome! I was fortunate enough to visit HK back around 2010. Had a great time there and ate some amazing food. The locals were all very friendly and always willing to help out the guy who looked completely lost most of the time :)

I try to keep up with the protests that are happening there and the brutality they are facing against the not-so-local police forces. I hope you're a safe distance from all that and hope even more that HK can be freed from their overloads. It's a long road ahead for sure. Stay safe.

Thanks guys. I'll avoid all of the geo-political talk here and just say that my family and I are safe. Been a very unusual 6 months and I doubt it ever goes back to being the amazing place is was before. Highly recommend to anyone interested in coming, do it sooner rather then later. The line between China and HK will only continue to blur. And besides, Macau is just a short boat ride away!
 
Hello and welcome! Who makes the chips used in casinos in Macau? Are they mainly plastic or compression mold?

All the major brands. Almost all plastic or those jeton mix chips. Haven’t even seen Paulsons there.
