I have yet to go down the Ultrasonic road but after reading the thread it sounds amazing. Being able to clean 1k chips in an afternoon is pretty sweet.

If someone has one they don't use please let me know. I will buy from the US or Canada (Canada would be easier since I am located near Vancouver).

Let me know!
Thanks,
-Perry

I bought a new one on eBay for about 149 usd and that included shipping within US. I really like it.

PS Sorry might not have been this model/maker

I know nothing about ultra sonic cleaning so very interested to know the best method. Of course a cheaper unit that is still good would be great!

Thanks!

The one I bought is 6L under $92 today shipped to TX. Not sure if you get a different price in Canada. Only used it once, so not sure how durable it is, but the price is right.

IIRC the Lock N Load in the OP of the ultrasonic thread is no longer manufactured.

This VEVOR unit is the same as the one I have and I paid twice as much for mine. That is a great price.

The ad says over 1,800 sold. It is amazing to me that so many people would purchase this. Man I really should pull the trigger eh.

Here are my Before & Afters:

This looks like its the VEVOR 3L unit. As long as spinner fits in tanks, it should be fine. 3L (9.5 x 5.5 x 4) vs 6L (11.75 x 6 x 6)

I went 6L because it had double Hot power (200w vs 100w) & 3 Transducers vs 2, and Ski said not to skimp on power & transducers.

The specs. say this one has 2x transducers and 3L. is the same size as the original thread by Ski.

I think I will give this one a shot.

Not to make your decision harder, but I purchased this model since I didn't have massive quantities of chips to clean: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007TNX9ZE/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It works really well for about 35 chips per load (each load is approximately 5 minutes long, not including time to replace water every 4 or 5 loads when it gets really dirty)

Here are some before and afters with this model: https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZGg5CgQDDhcrNLAj6

Note: Given it's a smaller unit the salad strainer approach found within PCF tutorials doesn't work. I simply found a very old, dull wooden spoon and used that to gently stir the chips. I included a video showing this approach in the above album as well.

Hope this is helpful!

Hey Perry, I'm pretty sure I bought mine off eBay from a seller in the US for about $140-ish US and then used one of those 15% coupons that come up from time to time, and even got free shipping to Canada. I think the brand name is "Vevor". 6L/180W or so. I've probably put over 15000 chips through it in the last 6 months.
