I am thinking about starting a horseshoe cincinnati or cleveland set. I guess I would more than likely go after what I see more available of. As far as prices go, do the cincinnati or clevelands sell for more? I see mixed prices everywhere and just not sure after doing the research. I am also looking mostly at secondaries because I like the colors better. Mostly what I see on eBay is cincinnati's.

cash game or tournament set? having a cash game set of $1s and $5s is not possible, because secondaries of those denoms do not exist

The Cincy chips came after the Cleveland glut, both vendors are members here so you can see directly what they have for stock, although I haven't looked at those sale threads in a while and there might be nothing left. Cincy is @The Chip Exchange and Cleveland is @TheChipRoom.

The Cinci chips were available here at remarkably high prices, then the seller dropped his prices because no one was buying them. Then he turned to eBay and dropped his prices even more, then switched his listings to "Make Offer" listings. He'll be trying to sell them for years to come most likely.

The Cleveland chips come up for sale here in the classifieds fairly often, although they're usually in sets. You can often get good deals on primary chips. However, if you want mint secondaries, it might take you a while to put them all together. You could also pick and choose which are your favorites from each set and mix and match them. Might look kinda cool. The high denom primaries are in pretty good condition, so you could probably mix them with secondaries and still be happy with your set. The 1k and 5k chips are going to be very tough to find though from either set (unless you want to overpay for them).

I have one rack of the secondary Cincy $100s available for sale if you want them. I'll sell them for cheap (whatever that is these days, I don't know... I can't keep up with all the price changes lol).

Either way, good luck with your hunt.

I have purchased 500 of the cincy chips through here. The $1 and $5 i got for .69 cents each and the $25 was .99 each. These were primaries so they were pretty dirty. I bought an ultrasonic cleaner and they look great after a bath and some oil.

I agree. They look very clean for being primaries considering some of the other primaries I have seen. Nice set.

Where can I get a set of chips like these beauties?!?!?

I just wanted to clarify this quote because it is almost completely untrue and I don't understand why it was even posted. (The only true statement is "He'll be trying to sell them for years to come" which is what I expected when I acquired them) I have not lowered my pricing! My eBay listings are mostly higher to help cover fees and I always have "make an offer" on my eBay listings.
But I would think that everyone would be excited if I was lowering prices. :/
It's just not true, at least not yet and maybe never. Everything has been moving faster then I expected so maybe it is time for a price increase instead? ;)

Call it what you want, but it's not merely semantics. I paid higher prices for mine than what you're currently selling them for here. Then, after they didn't sell here, you went to eBay selling them for the same prices as here (which is about a 15% discount in the amount of money you'd receive). Then, you added a "make offer" option to your listings, which effectively lowers your prices even more.

If you sell something here for $100, then on eBay for $100, then change that eBay listing to $100 with a "make offer" option then try to claim you never "changed your prices", I'd say you're being disingenuous at best.

I don't care what you do with your chips, but I'm going to call you out when you're being deceptive, which I've found you to be at least a few times.

Actually... No I'm not. I'm just going to block you. I don't really care. Good luck with your business. You're gonna need it.
