Hi Gang,

I have a halfway decent set of chips that I was thinking of having hot stamped. I'm not even sure I can do this or where to do this. If it's possible and economical after shipping then I'd like to have denominations hot stamped onto my set of chips.

I have this set of chips........

https://www.discountpokershop.com/gram-500-striped-clay-poker-chips-p-282.html

1. Can they be hot stamped?
2. If so, where?
3. What is an appropriate price per chip?

Most of the sites that I've looked at allow you to have the chips that you buy from them hot stamped. Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

I know this is not a great set of chips. To be honest, if anyone out there has any random Paulson chips out there with denominations on them then there's a good chance that I'd be interested in buying them. Throw me some PM's if you want to sell your random Paulson chips with denominations.

Thank you everyone for your input

My 2 cents:
I really would not bother, those are absolute bottom-of-the-line, slippery plastic coated overweight iron discs. and you will regret in the future sinking money into that project..
That dealer in the link is one of those that knows they are simply imported plastic coated iron discs , and still calls them " Real Clay" ...

The cost to ship and hotsamp , if possible, may be very similar to simply buying better chips, such as Milano or other CClay denominated types..
( By the way, if interested, I actually have a big bunch of similar, Hotstamped, denominated Dice type "real Clay" slippery Plastic coated Iron discs I would like to unload..
You can PM me if interested ...) ABC Gifts in the Forum Marketplace is currently unloading ProGens at .18 ea , & PGI labels can be done yourself for a couple/few cents a chip more ...
I once brought a magnet to a game, where the host kept referring to his chips as "real Clay offical Casino style ", & did not believe me when I told him they were thinly plastic coated iron slugs ...
Next game I pulled out the magnet & had a few chips fly over to me, & then showed him some Paulsons ... :D :D

They can probably take a hotstamp. but I haven't encountered a retail stamper that will stamp chips after-the-fact, nor will they stamp third-party chips. There are one or two individuals still in the hotstamping business if you can find them, but if you do, get in line and be prepared to wait quite a long time. If you're looking to have chips stamped, I agree with Blaster - save your money and get a CPC set. If you'd like to play w/an upgraded chip in the meantime, get some of the ProGen 80's on sale, or get the Majestics from @Apache . Alternatively you could get a nice ceramic set for relatively cheap as well.

To hotstamp cheap chips is throwing good money at bad. Don't spend money on something you don't ultimately want. Put that money towards a CC/ceramic set, the mixed Paulson set you're trying to build, or a custom hotstamped set from CPC.
