Hotel Sahara $5 Brown Camel Chip - Rarity? (1 Viewer)

I found a $5.00 hotel Sahara Las Vegas brown/red chip in a dresser at an estate sale. It's red/brown, $5, 3 black markings around edge, says HOTEL SAHARA and has a camel facing left at top. Any idea of value/rarity/info on chip? Thanks.

That is a nice chip. Did you find more than one or is that the only chip? I'll go pull out my price guide and see what it's listed at.

That's a pretty rare chip. The Chip Rack (mine is a few year's old 2015) lists it as a Z2, which is $1100-$1600. Now before you get too excited, price is dependent on condition and usually chips will sell lower than their book value. This chip has been in a few at auctions in the past few years and from my bad memory, i want to say maybe $700-$1000 range depending on condition. I'll need to go look through my records to see what the exact prices were. Nice find!
