Now, if you're from WI, we almost always "double-fist" drinks. We have a drink, and a chaser, or just we get two drinks at a time, cuz we drink 'em that fast.... My last game, I had two drinks going at once. However, that designed table almost belongs in the fugly table thread... Horrible IMHO. The racetrack is raised compared to the play surface (How the eff do you rake in chips or get cards?).

Admittedly, I think this is an easier fix than had the issue been reversed.

I saw that table a few weeks ago while I was searching for hardware for my table. Crazy. I don't get why you want that many...and I'm a fan of the cup holders. Not so much the racetrack anymore. I had it on the first table I built. On my new table that's about to begin production (J5's design), I killed the race track, moved the cup holders to the rail and added in an extra cup holder for the dealer. Me personally, I'd rather have cup holders than 4 or 5 carts/tables...

I just last night played on a table with built in cup holders, and remarked to myself how it always seemed like my beverage was in the way. Everyone has a different idea of where their beverage should go (in relation to their chips, cards, etc..), in between their arms, on the side? So the real issue for me is that people's ideas will conflict with each other, and someone will have a beverage in their way. Secondly, you're limited to certain positions. If you have a 9 seated table, and move down to 7 players, then it's harder to just spread out, when spots are pre-arranged.

Not saying rail cupholders are horrible, as I've played with them just fine, and it wasn't that big of a deal. I just think if I had a choice, I'd prefer to have slide-unders (that you can place where you wish) or drink carts.

Just my two cents.

Beautiful table mockup tho... Stunning felt!

Thanks!

And yeah I agree. That's why I'm using the jumbo cup holders so the drinks don't get in the way :) I had em in my last table and cans stuck out maybe an inch - and the bottles obviously a little more, maybe three inches, but with the extra deep cup holders, the drinks don't get in the way too much.

Anyway, like you said - everyone has their own opinion on the topic
