During the boom I played nearly 200k hands of poker (wish I still had that DB) played across 3-4 different poker rooms. FTP, PokerRoom and PokerStars primarily but there were definitely a few others mixed in.

I’m only at around 25k online since starting back up again last year but way more live than I have ever played (125hrs). So maybe about 27k hands in the last 8 months. Not a lot but more than I had expected.

How about you guys?

Been playing over 20 years. Can't even begin to guess how many hands.

In the 2000s I racked up a PockerTracker database of just over 2 million. Almost all limit micro and small stakes tables. I thought that was normal.

Online is illegal now where I am. Sad times.

Do the math (ala Larry), I've been playing some form of Poker since I was 10-11, penny ante in the back of yellow dog buses on the way to bowling tournaments, til now in my mid-60's so 50+ years of playing. I've been fat & busted so many times but it's a lot of freaking hands/games.....

At the rate that I am now playing online, i will hit my first 100k hands in about 10 months. I've picked up the pace and am now averaging about 250-350 hands a night. Once I get more comfortable playing 3-4 6-max tables, I'll move to 2-tabling fast-fold which will probably push me to about 500-750 hands a night. Hopefully once I get another 30-40k hands under my belt I'll be ready to pick up the pace.

Is cool. Wish I could go back to online. For a while I was 12-tabling but that was fine for micro tables. Found had to reduce the number of tables as moved up the stakes. Needed to concentrate on individual hands more as opposition got tougher. Settled on 4 tables at the most for small stakes.

I was hesitant to click over 1,000,000. The more I thought about it, probably easily over 1,000,000 when you count online.

I'm gonna say this one last time: it's not how many hands you play it's how you play them.
