Recently I had purchased a notched Hollywood Tunica $500 chip and I had noticed there is a scan of an another one of the same chip on chip guide. Anyone know about how many sample notched chips there usually are?

How many are notched as prototypes? No idea, probably not very many, and there's no "standard" number afaik.
That said, chips are often notched when they are taken out of circulation, not just as prototypes, so there could be hundreds (or even thousands) out there that are notched.
